Gwendolyn Davis – Reeves
Gwendolyn Davis Reeves is a native of Columbus, GA. She is a dedicated and a loyal FVSU Wildcat as an alumna and former employee of Fort Valley State University.
In 1992, Reeves was named the first FVSU Senior Woman Administrator for Athletics – 15yrs. She served as Interim Athletic Director during the 1997 – 1998 school year and in 2002, she was appointed Director of Athletics for Fort Valley State University. She was the first woman to serve in that capacity at FVSU, a position she held for five years.
Throughout her professional career, Reeves has received numerous awards and honors as follows: 2000 Administrator of the Year – Division II, Athletic Management’s 1999 ATALANTA Award for Female Role Models in Athletics, 2015 Fort Valley State University Sports Hall of Fame Inductee, 2022 Fort Valley State University Alumni Hall of Fame Inductee,
Kimberly Langston
Rita H. Davey
Rita H. Davey is a retired Director of the Plans and Resources Division, Communications Directorate at Robins Air Force Base, where she served with distinction for 37 years in the Department of Defense. Over the course of her career, Rita developed extensive expertise in managing resources and acquisition management, providing leadership and guidance on critical programs and initiatives.
Rita holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in Public Administration. She brings a wealth of knowledge in organizational management, strategic planning and resource stewardship to The Progression Point Board of Directors, helping to advance its mission and long-term vision. She also serves as board member of Jump-Starting Our Youth (JOY) Foundation, Inc, non-profit organization dedicated to empowering youth to become constructive members of the community.
Geovanni Stotts
Geovanni “Geo” Stotts is our Executive Director of The Progression Point. He is a certified mathematician with over 20 years of experience providing educational services to students. He works for the Air Force as a civilian in the Engineering Division where he is a construction Project Manager.
Geo’s journey educating and mentoring students began at his high school in his hometown of Warner Robins, Georgia. He was hired by his high school as a tutor in the 9th grade. Since that time, he has gone on to be an official tutor for various universities, non-profit organizations, and private companies.
From 2014-2018, Geo established a tutoring program for the teen center at the Donald W. Reynolds Boys and Girl in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He also served as the supervisor of their teen center during this time. The Boys and Girls Club is also where he began coaching and training athletes in basketball.
In his 20 years of tutoring experience, Geo has personally tutored over 250 students of all ages. He has increased over 75 students’ SAT math scores by over 100 points. He has also increased many students’ ACT math scores by over 5 points.
In his time with The Progression Point, Geo has organized and participated in many community service events.
